Paus Telescopic loaders, TL/TSL

Differential fluid capacity & service interval

Paus Telescopic loaders, TL/TSL use differential fluid with a capacity range of 6,5 to 8,5 liters. Service intervals consist of 50 hours and 1000 hours or 12 months. The data covers 16 configurations.

The configuration chart below lists fill volumes and service intervals for each engine and trim variant.

Additional Notes

  • Across all TL 855 and TSL 855 configurations, the front differential holds 6.5 liters and the rear differential holds 8.5 liters, reflecting the larger physical size and load-bearing role of the rear axle assembly.
  • The rear differential capacity of 8.5 liters is 2 liters greater than the front differential capacity of 6.5 liters, a difference consistent across both the Deutz BF4L2011 Stage II and Deutz TD2011 L04i Stage IIIa engine variants.
  • Normal-use differential fluid changes are specified at 1000 hours or 12 months, whichever comes first. The dual-trigger format means time elapsed can mandate a change even when the hour threshold has not been reached.
  • An initial service interval of 50 hours applies to both the front and rear differentials on all listed configurations. Early fluid changes at low hours are standard practice for new or rebuilt driveline components, as initial wear particles and manufacturing residues accumulate rapidly during break-in.
  • The Paus TL 855 and TSL 855 share identical differential fluid capacities and change intervals across all four differentials, with 6.5 liters at the front and 8.5 liters at the rear under both normal and initial service conditions.
  • The engine variant, whether the Deutz BF4L2011 Stage II used from 2006-2008 or the Deutz TD2011 L04i Stage IIIa introduced from 2008, has no effect on differential fluid capacities or service intervals. Both axle positions retain the same specifications regardless of which engine is fitted.
