• All configurations across the 2009-2014 Subaru Legacy / Outback BM/BR use a hydraulic clutch system, meaning clutch actuation is fluid-based rather than cable-operated. In a hydraulic setup, fluid level directly affects pedal feel and clutch engagement, making reservoir level checks a functional maintenance requirement rather than a precautionary one.
• The fluid level specification of "between min and max" applies to all listed configurations. Rather than a fixed fill volume in liters or quarts, this reservoir-based measurement reflects the normal operating range marked on the clutch fluid reservoir itself.
• The 2.5 GT (including Spec.B) and 2.5i variants covering model years 2009-2012 share an identical service interval: a fluid level check every 15,000 miles or 15 months, whichever comes first. The dual-trigger format accounts for both high-mileage and low-mileage driving patterns under normal use conditions.
