Additional Notes

  • The Hyundai i10 AC3 (EU) manual transaxle fluid capacity falls into two distinct ranges depending on the engine fitted. The naturally aspirated 1.0 MPi and 1.2 MPi variants share a capacity of 1.3-1.4 liters, while the turbocharged 1.0 T-GDI variants require a noticeably larger fill of 1.6-1.7 liters.
  • The capacity figures are expressed as ranges rather than fixed values, which is typical of service fill specifications. A range accounts for minor variation in the amount of fluid that drains during a fluid check or partial change, as opposed to a dry-fill figure used after a full overhaul or transaxle replacement.
  • Under normal use conditions, all engine variants across the 2020-2024 model year span share an identical check interval of 48 months or 60,000 km, whichever comes first. No fluid change interval is specified for normal use conditions.
  • Under severe use conditions, the check interval remains at 60,000 km or 48 months, and a fluid change interval of 120,000 km is additionally specified. The change interval applies uniformly across all engine variants listed under severe use.
  • The 1.0 MPi engine underwent a power output revision between model year groups, rated at 49 kW for 2020-2024 and at 46 kW from 2024 onward. Despite the output difference, the manual transaxle fluid capacity of 1.3-1.4 liters and the service intervals remain unchanged between the two variants.
  • A similar power revision applies to the 1.0 T-GDI, which was rated at 74 kW for 2020-2024 and at 66 kW from 2024 onward. The transaxle fluid capacity of 1.6-1.7 liters and all associated service intervals are identical across both output ratings.
  • The 1.2 MPi also saw a power reduction between generations, from 62 kW in 2020-2024 to 58 kW from 2024 onward. As with the other naturally aspirated variants, the transaxle fluid capacity of 1.3-1.4 liters and service intervals are consistent across both output ratings.
  • The larger transaxle fluid capacity of the 1.0 T-GDI variants, at 1.6-1.7 liters versus 1.3-1.4 liters for the MPi variants, reflects the physical differences in the gearbox housing associated with accommodating the torque output of a turbocharged engine.
