Brake fluid capacity & service interval

DS 9 and X models utilize brake fluid with a capacity range between min and max. Service intervals include normal use. The data covers 5 configurations.

The configuration chart below lists fill volumes and service intervals for each engine and trim variant.

Additional Notes

  • Every DS 9 X variant listed — spanning the 1.6 PureTech 215 (EGP), 1.6 PureTech 225 (5GG), E-TENSE 225 (DGZ), E-TENSE 250 (DGY), and E-TENSE 4x4 360 (DGS) — carries the same brake fluid specification: fill to between the minimum and maximum marks on the reservoir.
  • The "between min and max" specification is a service fill indicator rather than a fixed volume, meaning the correct level is determined by the reservoir markings rather than a measured quantity added during servicing.
  • All five configurations reference a hydraulic brake system, which applies to both the purely petrol-powered PureTech variants and the plug-in hybrid E-TENSE variants, including the all-wheel-drive E-TENSE 4x4 360.
  • All listed entries carry a normal use condition, meaning the brake fluid level specification applies under standard operating circumstances rather than a severe or special-use regime.
  • No variation in brake fluid fill specification exists across the five configurations starting from 2021, despite the range covering both combustion-only and electrified powertrains, as well as front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive layouts.
