  • The Hyundai R95W-3, powered by the Mitsubishi S4S-DT engine and produced from 2000-2007, carries noticeably larger differential capacities than the R55W variants. The front differential holds 6 liters while the rear holds 8 liters, reflecting the heavier axle assemblies associated with a larger machine class.
  • The asymmetric front and rear capacities on the R95W-3 — 6 liters versus 8 liters — are consistent with rear differentials on larger wheeled equipment often incorporating additional components such as a final drive or a larger gear set, which increases the housing volume and fluid requirement.
  • The R55W-7A, produced from 2007-2010, specifies limited slip differentials on both the front and rear axles.
