Additional Notes

  • The Caterpillar Wheeled Loader 904H equipped with the Mitsubishi S4Q2-T engine carries a notably small transferbox fluid capacity of 0.3 liter, which is considerably lower than the 1.3 liter and 1.25 liter figures recorded for the C3.4 Tier 3-powered models in the same series.
  • On the 904H with the Mitsubishi S4Q2-T, the initial service interval calls for a fluid change at 250 hours, which is half the 500-hour initial change interval specified for the C3.4 Tier 3 models across the 906H, 907H, and 908H.
  • The 904H transferbox specifies a fluid level check at 500 hours under normal use conditions, whereas the 906H, 907H, and 908H with the C3.4 Tier 3 engine all specify a check interval of 250 hours, regardless of whether the service condition is normal or initial.
  • Under normal use conditions, the 906H, 907H, and 908H all share a transferbox fluid change interval expressed as a dual criterion: 6 months or 1,000 hours, whichever comes first. The same dual criterion applies to the 904H under normal use.
