  • The Riley RM range spans six variants across the 1945-1955 period, and manual transmission fluid capacities across all of them fall into one of two values: 1.1 liters or 1.13 liters. The RMA (1945-1952), RME (1953-1955) carry the 1.13-liter figure, while the RMB, RMC, RMD, and one RMF configuration are specified at 1.1 liters.
  • The RMF (1952-1953) is the only variant in the range with two distinct manual transmission capacity entries: 1.1 liters and 1.5 liters. The 1.5-liter figure is the larger of the two and corresponds to a separate transmission unit with its own service intervals, indicating a second gearbox option fitted to some RMF vehicles.
  • Under normal use conditions, all RM variants share a fluid level check interval of 1,600 km. This interval applies uniformly regardless of whether the transmission capacity is 1.1 or 1.13 liters.
  • The standard fluid change interval under normal use is 8,000 hours for all variants with a 1.1-liter or 1.13-liter transmission capacity. The larger 1.5-liter RMF transmission carries a longer normal-use change interval of 10,000 hours.
