• Across the Hyundai Sonata LF/LFA (EU) 2015-2019 range, two distinct service interval schedules apply to the cooling system. The normal schedule calls for a coolant change every 30,000 km or 24 months, while the first change only schedule defers the initial change to 210,000 km or 120 months, with an intermediate check at 60,000 km or 48 months.
• The first change only schedule reflects a long-life coolant formulation, where the factory-filled fluid is engineered to remain serviceable well beyond standard intervals before the first replacement is due.
• The 1.6 T-GDI, 2.0 T-GDI, 2.4 GDI (138 kW), and 2.4 MPI (126 kW) engines all share a cooling system capacity of 7.1 liters, regardless of whether the normal or first change only schedule is applied.
