• Across all Chrysler Neon (EU) manual transaxle configurations, the fluid capacity falls within one of two ranges: 1.9–2.2 liters or 2.4–2.7 liters. A range rather than a fixed value is typical for manual transaxles, reflecting variation between a drain-and-refill service fill and the slightly higher volume required after a full overhaul or bearing replacement.
• The 1.6-16V variants covering 1998-2004 share an identical capacity range of 1.9–2.2 liters and a check interval of 12,000 km or 6 months under normal use conditions, making the interval notably shorter than the one assigned to the 2.0-16V configurations.
• All 2.0-16V configurations, whether DOHC or SOHC and regardless of production period, carry a check interval of 24,000 km or 12 months under normal use conditions. This is twice the distance and double the time compared to the 1.6-16V interval.
• The 2.0-16V DOHC and SOHC variants from 1994-1998 share the same 1.9–2.2 liter capacity range despite the difference in camshaft configuration. DOHC and SOHC refer to the cylinder head design, not the transmission, so the shared transaxle capacity across both engine types is consistent with a common gearbox unit.
• The 2.0-16V SOHC covering 2000-2002 retains the 1.9–2.2 liter capacity range, keeping continuity with the earlier 1994-1998 SOHC specification for both capacity and the 24,000 km or 12-month check interval.
• The 2.0-16V SOHC from 2002-2004 is the only configuration in the Chrysler Neon (EU) manual transaxle data with a higher capacity range of 2.4–2.7 liters.
