  • AdBlue, also known as Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), is a urea-water solution injected into exhaust gases upstream of a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst. The SCR system converts nitrogen oxides (NOx) into nitrogen and water vapor, allowing diesel engines to meet Tier 4i (interim) emissions standards.
  • All Hürlimann XL T4i variants listed carry AdBlue under normal use conditions, meaning the specified capacities apply to standard operating environments rather than elevated-demand or severe-duty cycles.
  • The XL 120.4, XL 130.4, XL 140, and XL 140.4 T4i variants — both standard and Hi-Level cab configurations — share a 50-liter AdBlue tank capacity. A 50-liter reservoir is relatively large for agricultural machinery and supports extended field operation between refills.
  • The XL 150.4 and XL 160.4 T4i variants, in both standard and Hi-Level configurations, have a 35-liter AdBlue tank capacity. At 35 liters, the reservoir is smaller than the 50-liter units found in the lower-numbered variants within the same range.
  • The 120.4, 130.4, 140, and 140.4 T4i variants entered the specifications from 2016, while the 150.4 and 160.4 T4i variants have an earlier start year of 2013, indicating a longer presence in the lineup for the higher-output models.
