  • All Challenger MT models listed across the 2014-2020 range use a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system, which injects AdBlue (diesel exhaust fluid, or DEF) into the exhaust stream to convert nitrogen oxides into nitrogen and water vapor before they exit the tailpipe.
  • The Challenger MT455E, MT465E, MT475E, MT485E, and MT495E each carry a 30-liter AdBlue tank capacity, applying to units from 2016 onward. A 30-liter reservoir is relatively modest within this lineup and reflects the lower engine displacement and DEF consumption rate of the smaller E-series tractors.
  • The MT555E through MT595E series, introduced from 2014, step up to a 40-liter AdBlue capacity. The increase over the 30-liter group aligns with the larger engine size and correspondingly higher exhaust output requiring greater DEF volume between refills.
